The Legacy of the Mexico GP

The Mexican Grand Prix debuted as a non-championship race in 1962, later joining the championship lineup from 1963 to 1970 and again from 1986 to 1992. After a break, the race made a comeback in 2015 and has been held annually since, with a contract set through 2025. Held at the high-altitude Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez—named after Mexican drivers Ricardo and Pedro Rodríguez—the race challenges both cars and drivers due to the thin air at over 2,000 meters above sea level.
